Muse Catherine Pearl Cocktail Rings Thursday, May 1 2008

Just a small release for today: pearl cocktail rings in platinum and gold with diamonds, to add that little touch of classic elegance to anything from a little black dress to the most formal of gowns. Available in black and white pearl, singly or in a pack of four. All rings are resizable with a built-in resize script, and come with a subtle glow/no-glow option (for the diamonds).
 

I’d had these rings for a long time but decided to release them rather than with other things that I’d been working on. I’ve also taken down the watches for some script updating (resize script) and put up my older freebies/newbie goods that were once in my old Linji location, for newer players.

Tuli Relay for Life Release Wednesday, Mar 19 2008

Tuli asked me to contribute a necklace that would match her RFL release, and I came up with a lariat that I enjoyed making. I put a lot more detail into it than I thought I would, and it is a little on the small side (as with most of my work) but I hope you like it.

 

Other releases have been put on hold since I’m both working on things for GLAM SL and doing a brand revamp

A Little Break Wednesday, Jan 30 2008

I’ve been working on a few things scheduled for release in about 1-2 weeks or so, but think I stayed up too late - I’ve a particularly nasty bout of flu and won’t be as active in-world as before. Muse for Another Fundraiser Wednesday, Jan 23 2008

My contribution to Another Fundraiser is a ghost-pale variation of Eloh Eliot’s Re skin. I started with paler, unpainted finger and toenails, then drew a different, arched set of eyebrows. Added a bit of eyeliner for a cat-eye look, opaque silver lip paint with some highlights, and an iridescent floral tattoo along the right cheekbone and temple. The skin comes with a little tattoo of wings on the shoulder-blades, which didn’t turn out quite the way I thought it would, but I suppose I made a decent go of it My thanks to everyone from Another Fundraiser who are undertaking this project and letting us flex our creativity for a good cause.

The Claris Choker Incident and Updates Friday, Jan 18 2008

After discovering an identical copy of my Claris pearl choker in-world and taking the appropriate steps to confront the individual responsible, I’m happy to say that we’ve reached a compromise with the person and that for the most part our conversations with him were civil. Although he has claimed that the choker was taken off a real-life choker rather than the Claris, he demonstrated his willingness to cooperate and has agreed to take down the item provided he be allowed to rework the design into something clearly different. He will be giving us updates on its progress.

Thank you Phoenix and Tamara, this means a lot to me that you as well as others, designers and bloggers alike, are giving me their wholehearted support in this incident. I’m warmed by it and by the regard and consideration of the fashion community, more than most would guess. My thanks also goes to Ben Vanguard for providing the translations we needed. I’m greatly relieved that this was settled without causing more stress than it has, and in a relatively civil manner given the difficulty of the situation. I will be posting more on this once the item is updated.

I’m taking this opportunity to urge the fashion community to keep an eye out for infringing content and to report it directly to the designers whose work you think has been compromised. It seems that reports of such theft are coming in daily and it’s saddening that honest content creators are being robbed of their ideas and their creations by these thieves.

As for my own updates, I am working on recolours of the Marguerite set and Valentine’s Day offerings as well as new, more sophisticated pearl textures, I have to apologise if I haven’t given any notice so far on what I’ve been doing. Certain people may have spotted me on the grid in a completely…different guise, which is I assure you only for experimental and design purposes :>

Muse Re-Release: The Claris Pearl Collection Thursday, Dec 27 2007

“The Claris Pearl and Diamond sets are comprised of a classic pearl choker, a double-stranded bracelet and a pair of simple pearl earring studs, perfect for adding a touch of elegance to any gown or cocktail dress.”

The Claris Pearl Set was one of my very first jewellery sets in SL, released in in late February ‘07. I’ve had many happy customers telling me this is one of their classic favourites, and many inquiries as to whether I would make the version in black pearl available for newer players.

After some considerable thought, I decided to re-release the Claris Black Pearl Set for these reasons, as well as that the Margaux Pearl necklaces may be matched with either the Celine Pearl Drop Earrings or the Claris Pearl studs, and the black pearl studs were unavailable for customers who’d purchased the black Margaux necklace. I hope that everyone who might have missed a chance at these sets will be pleased They are priced the same as their white pearl counterparts, at 400L for the chokers, 200L for the bracelets and 50L for the earrings.

Bells and Ribbons at Muse Saturday, Dec 22 2007

I know I’m a little late in putting out a holiday gift, but I made a little something for my group members.

There are red, green, dark green and dark red ribbons with either gold or silver bells, as well as black and white versions (wearable year-round!) for group members only. Touch the display to receive your gift - group members get all colours (they don’t need to buy the $1L box).

Black and white ribbons with flexi ribbon ends and fur. 

The red and green ribbons are available to the public in one of the gift boxes on the small tables inside the store.

Muse Vendors Updated Friday, Dec 21 2007

All vendors at the Muse main store have now been updated to Hippovend for faster delivery, less lag and less chances of failed delivery. They look the same, except that the info button has been removed. To use the new vendors, click on the “Gift” button. You’ll be asked the name of the recipient, and after saying her name in open chat, just pay the vendor. As with the older vendors you have to stand close to the display (within 10m) to receive the messages. Happy holidays!
