Armoire Releases

Come to the Armoire Show to see two new sets specially created for this one of a kind event. I’ve also created a hunt gift (photos below). The jewellers participating in the show have prepared many beautiful sets for you.  The new sets from Muse are in the very centre of the main pavillion, please let me know if you have trouble finding them

For five days (March 18 – 22), you are invited to a special trunk-show designed to showcase finely crafted jewelry.  Five designers (Candy Cerveau, Caliah Lyon, Violet Voltaire, Kesseret Steeplechase, and Saiyge Lotus) have created a mystical labyrinth with living dioramas that reflect the moods of their collections.  In each of these rooms, models will showcase these jeweler’s wares, with a pavilion for purchases nestled at the center of the maze.  The Journeyman’s Quest is the hunt challenge within this event, yielding jewelry (including limited edition items) for the tenacious journeyman jeweler.  See jewelry in a way that you haven’t before!

A Journeyman’s Quest

As you may have heard, Shir Dryke, a fellow designer and blogger, will be undergoing a heart transplant. I’m happy to say that with the efforts of her friends and the kindness of many here in SL she has reached her target goal, which covers the sum needed to go ahead with her operation. To help with the cause Annyka Bekkers has let bloggers and designers create custom makeups based on her own Blowpop line of skins, the proceeds of which went to Shir.

While she has reached the goal of L$700k some of us have decided to continue to contribute to the cause to help her with post-op expenses and to give her time to heal. This skin will only be up for a week and will no longer be sold thereafter! All proceeds from its sale will go to Shir. We hope that her operation will be successful and wish her a speedy recovery. The makeup itself is partly inspired by Christian Dior’s runway makeup for Spring/Summer 2008.

I wanted to post this just to clarify that I haven’t been starting another new jewellery venture under another name. Because of school I simply don’t have time for much besides logging in occasionally to SL to check on how things are going. So any uncanny resemblances between my avatar (old or new) or my work for Muse to anything that might crop up in-world are not the result of my own efforts Thank you, and I apologise to my customers if I’ve been gone.

I’ll take this opportunity to congratulate Tuli on her birthday (remember she has a couple of things in her stores set to 34L!) as well as her brand new sim Journey. Be sure to drop by Lucas Lameth’s newly rebranded store as well. I wasn’t able to log on in time for Fleur’s launch of their new line of skins, Allure, but that’s another thing I have to catch up on.

Just a small release for today: pearl cocktail rings in platinum and gold with diamonds, to add that little touch of classic elegance to anything from a little black dress to the most formal of gowns. Available in black and white pearl, singly or in a pack of four. All rings are resizable with a built-in resize script, and come with a subtle glow/no-glow option (for the diamonds).
 

I’d had these rings for a long time but decided to release them rather than with other things that I’d been working on. I’ve also taken down the watches for some script updating (resize script) and put up my older freebies/newbie goods that were once in my old Linji location, for newer players.

Tuli asked me to contribute a necklace that would match her RFL release, and I came up with a lariat that I enjoyed making. I put a lot more detail into it than I thought I would, and it is a little on the small side (as with most of my work) but I hope you like it.

My contribution to Another Fundraiser is a ghost-pale variation of Eloh Eliot’s Re skin. I started with paler, unpainted finger and toenails, then drew a different, arched set of eyebrows. Added a bit of eyeliner for a cat-eye look, opaque silver lip paint with some highlights, and an iridescent floral tattoo along the right cheekbone and temple. The skin comes with a little tattoo of wings on the shoulder-blades, which didn’t turn out quite the way I thought it would, but I suppose I made a decent go of it My thanks to everyone from Another Fundraiser who are undertaking this project and letting us flex our creativity for a good cause.
